Welcome! I am Taylor Gibson,
the one behind the lens.

High school me wanted to be a movie director, but thought her pictures in her photography class weren’t even close to good enough to be professional one day. I guess that expresses just how much I’ve always had a love of digital art, and maybe a bit of my perfectionism.

It wasn’t until my son was born that I took another serious look at photography. All of a sudden, this little boy was changing by the day, a completely different human every week. I definitely wasn’t getting enough sleep to remember all of his beautiful faces as the months passed. One night, I couldn’t sleep thinking about the memories slipping through my fingers and I pulled out the for fun camera I got as a single, young twenty-something. In the morning, I dusted it off, charged the battery, and started messing around, reacquainting myself with all the settings. I spent a few months this way, documenting our little family and showing my husband how to frame ideas in my mind so we would have pictures to look back on. I started liking what I was seeing, and even more so, thoroughly enjoying the craft again. I felt like Taylor, not just Mom, when I would stretch my creative mind in my own home on our parental leave. It hit me. I could do this all day, everyday. I could capture these precious moments for not just myself and my own family, but for others too.

Everyone deserves to have pictures to look back on as the years go by. That’s why I’m here, working with you. I may be providing a service to you, but you are providing a purpose to me. I’m glad you’re here. I can’t wait to freeze in time those faces that change so fast right under your nose.
